About Me

My name is Cole von Niessen and I am a Registered Clinical Counsellor located in both Vernon and Lumby, BC.

I offer a calm, welcoming space where you can talk openly and feel heard. I value listening with curiosity and without assumptions, and I’m honoured to support people as they navigate change, challenges, and growth.

I see counselling as a genuine relationship built on trust and safety. My goal is to meet you where you’re at and work together toward what matters most to you—your values, your goals, and a deeper sense of acceptance.

Treatment

Services

Free Initial Consultation

I understand how important a good fit is for counselling and offer an optional 15 minute phone-call that allows us to briefly get to know each-other before booking a session.

Individual

Support for navigating life’s challenges, building insight, learning skills, and moving toward the changes you want. A space to talk openly and work through what matters to you.

I offer individual counselling for both 60 minute and 90 minute lengths.

Couples

A supportive space for you and your partner to talk openly, understand each other better, and work through challenges together. Sessions focus on building connection, improving communication, and moving toward the relationship you both want.

EMDR

I offer EMDR therapy as both a focused treatment and an integrated part of ongoing counselling. EMDR is an evidence-based approach that can help process trauma, reduce symptoms of anxiety and depression, and address negative beliefs that may be impacting your well-being. EMDR can help the brain process difficult experiences and promote lasting emotional healing and resilience.

Children and Youth

I enjoy working with children and youth, helping them navigate challenges such as anxiety, big emotions, self-confidence, friendships, family changes, and difficult life experiences. Through a supportive and developmentally aware approach, I help young people process their experiences and build the skills and confidence they need to thrive.
